Default A look at my future man cave

Here are some before pics up my soon to be man cave. I plan on taking some walls out and covering the block walls with drywall and laying some nice carpet down. Any ideas would be great...
My fiance and I just bought this house in January.

My suggestion is take the Ohio State banner down and put up a UW banner. Go Bucky!!

First thing I would recommend to make a quick easy and drastic improvement over the entire room............is to pull down that hideous flag and replace with one of these.

First Id pull the flag and replace it with a LSU or FL flag or any other SEC team for that matter. Then i would take out the green wall with the two bucks on it to open it up a little.

Looking at the posts here I think maybe the flag/banner should have been taken down before the picture was taken.

It appears to be a very small odd shaped room. Are you able to put a door to the outside where that window is? That might help to open the room up a bit and give you easy access to it. I would also try to take out that green wall depending on what is behind it. And with the room so small I would consider going with a flat panel tv mounted up on the wall. That would get rid of that big tv and stand!

the green wall definitely needs to go, covering the walls will add a nice touch and then add some recessed lighting to accent your mounts

Behind the green wall are the stairs from the first floor. I was thinking of taking the wall out and have open stairs coming down. I was thinking about having a sliding glass door installed were the window is now. It is a small room, but after i take a few walls out it should open up a bit. Also, the block wall to the right is going to go. There is a laundry room behind it that will no longer be there.

GOOOO BUCKEYES!!!!!!!!!!! The flag must stay!!!!
