You really can't make any judgement about a Bowtech based on the stuff you read over on Archerytalk. I have never seen a bigger bunch of brand bashers than over there. They were claiming all kinds if disasterous failures on the new bows before they even hit the shops !!!!!! All bows have a small percentage of failures. Some are legit and many more are user caused like dry fires, dropping them out of trees, underweight arrows and bad pressing. So if you sell more bows you will in theory have more failures, no matter the cause.

my local dealer stopped selling bow tech because alot of his customers were bringing them back. cracked limbs bent cams, etc. he will still service them but wont sell them, they all traded in for bears.

I will admit that it took me a little while/patience to get use to the General. I went from a 39"ATA to roughly a 30"ATA so it was somewhat expected. I also had to get use to the draw cycle. Now thatI have been shooting it regularly I'm every bit as accurate with the shorter ATA as I was with the longer ATA bow. The string stop is worn out a bit but Idon't consider that to be an issue.
I have a buddy of mine who spends allot of time on ArcheryTalk which has left him wishing he had gotten the 82nd instead of the 101st. He even replaced the stock string stop, not necessarilybecause he had a problem but because he read other people were having problems. It just goes to show that some people's minds are easily manipulated!

There have been quite a few posts with pictures to back them up on there. In the overall big picture, I'm sure it's a minute amount of failures but how would you like to be one of the guys who had one fail. I'm certainly not bashing Bowtech because I own one but there does seem to be an issue with the Generals.
