I use a badlands stealth model. I primarily use it for rifle hunting or bowhunting in very cold weather so I can bring extra layers of clothing.I really like the pack.It is not water proof which is a downside,I just purchased an event liner for it.
For archery hunting I typically have a fanny pack because I am not carrying that much stuff. There are a lot of good packs out there.24 Hour Campfire is a forum that has a section devoted to backpack hunting. If you do a search there you will get a lot of helpful information.

Last fall I got a Game Plan Gear Spot-N-Stalk pack that I used on my Alberta elk hunt. Awesome pack. They have a couple other packs that I would like to check out as well......here's the website.

My stealth pack is most similar to the Ultraday pack.Badlands must have discontinued the stealth pack.

I use the Badlands 2200 as it will work for my elk hunting day trips carrying extra clothing and my deer hunts, with the rattlin' horns, treestand seat and the extras.

Best thing about the Badland Backpacks is that even if you have it on all day, it does not cause you pain between the shoulder blades like other packs will.

If your gonna buy a pack, buy a Badlands. If you think the 2200 is to big, they make a Whitetail pack designed for the deer hunter. Should be available mid-July

I use the RedHead RipCord. I bought it just for the hydration feature, and it has turned out to be an excellent pack. It's not too big so if you are looking for a large pack, this is probabaly too small.
