It's a tuning issue Andrew. Tweek your bow again. If they're grouping but just in different place from field points.. it's tune. If you have an occasional arrow go a muck, check the arrow. How much out are they hitting????

I'm Taking Rage 2 blade broadheads for my first Elk hunt in September , but i also find the slick trick magnum 100grn very accurate indeed and will take 3 of them also . I will make choice of which to use on the day, both are deadly and accurate . Have a great time , september cannot come quick enough for me .

I personaly like a good 3 blade with no more than a 1 3/16" cut or a 4 blade with no more than a 1" cut. I prefer a fixed blade style with either a cut on contact tip or a chisel style such as muzzy uses. Tune your bow well and use a moderatly weighted arrow and take good shots. You should be fine. Some good choices would be Muzzys, Slick tricks, Stingers, NAP nightmares or hellrazors, Phantoms, Rocky turbo's, etc. This is not a complete list, just some that come to mind but you get the picture.

Last year we killed 3 Elk with 3 different heads... Slick Trick, Magnus Stinger, Muzzy 3-blade.

Moral of the story... put it where it needs to go and don't worry about it.

My arrows with field tips hit just where I want them just about everytime, and when I am at the same spot with my broad heads they always go to the left about4 inches and down about 6 inches. What would I need to change with this problem?

My Choices would be as follows:

1. Slick Trick 125 grain Standard
2. G5 Striker

Both quality heads that won't let you down. The 4 blade head makes a little better hole, but if you put it where they live they'll go down quick!
