Default All the talk of "sign" hunting...

Which would you rather hunt over? (sign-wise)

1. Big Tracks
2. Rubs
3. Scrapes
4. Bedding
5. Scat in/around feeding area

Please choose as many as you care to in order of importance to "you".

Thanks, LT

I hunt the "edge" of thickets/bedding area's. They have to go in and have to come out. All you need to do, is know where and when.

Don't have a favorite.

Location of sign.. time of year... LOCATION of sign.

I usually don't hunt over sign... but use it intimately to get the answers I need. But I will hunt near the sign if the location and timing of year dictate me so. Wind direction included.

Not only is he handsome, he's a hell of a deer hunter.

Hunt terrain, not sign 90% time(here in MI) they are making that sign at night. Sign tells me where the deer was at night.

If you want to shoot a mature buck, hunt where they are during daylight(Don Higgins) They are not by any of the signs you listed, but one

It's hard for me to put them in any order. They all play a part in my decision on how to hunt an area. Each situation is different.

My favorite place to hunt is a funnel. If I can find a funnel in my area the stuff on your list will show up on its own. I used to spend all my time stomping all over the woods looking for rubs, scrapes and everything that we were "supposed" to be hunting over. Like I said though, ever since I started hunting funnels all of these things seem to come to me

I don't Hunt sign. It's nice to see a Big Rub or Scrape, but it has little bearing on where I locate my stands.

Wind, Terrain breaks, terrain, and cover in general. There are many time I can circle a property on the road and pick a stand location within yards. I have done it before and scored first time in.
