Well sometimes you make shots you don't want to and then you want a good broadhead on the end of your arrow so it will lead to a shorter blood trail.
But yes with well placed shots it doesn't need to much of a cutting diameter.

I agree its more about shot placement than the head. you could do it with a field tip with good shot placement but please use a broad head
