It's a chance for upcoming teachers or current teachers to spend 4-5 weeks in DC studing the Constitution, which James Madison helped write...They study at Georgetown...Thought you being a History teacher, might be interested in applying...My middle daughter is the only one from NC that won it this year, will be up there this summer...She just graduated from Wake Forest with a Masters in Education, will be teaching History in the Raleigh area next year...
Congrats to her! That's quite an accomplishment. A Master's will get you places...I'm working on mine starting in the Fall.

As a HS teacher, "maybe".

But a Masters Deg. from WFU in ANYTHING would open more doors than most could probably imagine.

oh yeh Jeff, just for HS teaching it's not worth it, but for anything else....sky is the limit with a masters, from many schools let alone WF.

Thanks guys, funny thing, it didn't cost me a dime...
She was a NC Teaching Fellow, graduated UNC last spring and had her choice of Duke or Wake, that plus the added money from the James Madison Fellow paid her tuition, plus rent, etc...

Yep, I am proud...But...The dang wedding next June is gonna cost me....

I don't mean to rub it in VA, but I have off from September 30 to January 1......ahh the benefits of being seasonally self-employed.
