RE: High Price Of Gas, etc., Go A Hunt Or Not?
Well hunting is my one vice. OK, so I lie, I have many.... but hunting is special as you all know. If I can arrange the time and place I'm not about to let an extra tank of gas deter me. Sure it's more expensive, but for a hunting trip, gas is usually the lowest cost. If you're worried about it, just don't buy those two new sets of camo you don't probably need anyway and put the money towards gas. [8D]

Wow the gas price has made my job all the more appealing. I am lucky to work for USPS inspecting postal buildings throughout Illinois & Wisonsin. I make my own schedule, and can normally arrange to combine business with hunting. Works out especially good with the short Illinois gun season. Last year I got all my gas, motels and even food paid for on my Panther Creek hunt. Will be even better this year as I will be hunting in the far south part of the state. I'm up in Chicago.
Now as far as my western hunting, if we draw New Mexico elk we will be flying out there and renting a jeep. That is worth investing a bit more for gas.
