Thats what I thought at first untill I found all these elk trails going to it.

Do you think I should just bring my ground blind when I go there?

Put a trail cam on it for a month or 2 and then youll know for sure. I dont really see any trail but sometimes what we see with our eyes versus through a camera are different.

I've seen places like this with very few tracks in it. The trees prevent undergrowth and the forest floor is pretty much bare. If it ends where the trees end thats what its from. But I've also seen areas tore up with sign. If its that there should be a bunch of tracks.

One thought is it was a wintering area, in a hard snow,for them and they have moved on. Trailcamera is the way to find out if they still use the area.

Exactly Andy!! I can't see a trail what so ever either but it all looks different from a camera. Hog knows its there so its easy for him to see, we don't know its there and the bare forest floor makes it tougher to tell. We believe you Hog, its just hard to see is all!
