I mean, imho, most hang-on stands are pretty simplistic. A platform, and generally a small seat attached to a frame connecting it to the platform. All of this is strapped to a tree. A climber is pretty much the same thing with the exception of the seat and platform being seperate. As long as they're properly secured, I don't see too much of a difference. If it's believed this is a much more unsafe method, I'm certainly all ears as to what sort of safety issues there are...that's why I started this thread in the first place.
