How'd everyones' turkey season go?

RE: How'd everyones' turkey season go?
It was a really tuff year. The hens were with the gobblers the whole season and they just would not respond to calling. And they were hard to pattern too.
I started out going after them with my bow, but ended up killing a jake on my last day with shotgun.

On my first morning I took this Jaker with a 5 inch beard....I have the hunt on my new website...I ended early but theres no telling what the birds would have been like if I waited til the next weekend...Things get shaky in Michigan during mid may.

I dont have any pictures but do have a somewhat funny story. My buddy and I hunted for at leat a few hours in the morning and had a few close calls but never did get a bird to fully cooperate. We headed back to camp and got there and there were two jakes fighting right behind the shed. So I grabed my shotgun snuck around the building and shot one. I cant really say there was much skill involved or it was because of my turkey calling skills but regardless I have a turkey in the freezer.
