Has this ever happened to anyone else. what did you do?

So does this mean you can't access the property because the bank has control of it now? Just curious.

I lost my lease at the end of last season. At first I cried and whined about it. It was only 6 miles from my house. Then I got to thinking. I started looking at it as an opportunity. I had gotten pretty resigned to the fact that I wouldn't have many opportunities at a trophy on that property. So I HAD to find a place to hunt. I have found 3 new places to hunt. One of which is a 4 hour drive from home. I don't mind. I have seen some big bodied deer out there, (bucks have shed), in just 2 scouting trips. I now will have a chance to hunt a place that might just give me a shot at a bruiser. I still have to do my part but the deer are there. Use the loss as an opportunity to find one or more new properties. I have found its all a matter of perspective. As soon as I stopped whining about losing the old place and started seeking some new land things started happening for me. Good luck!

Lost our place at the end of last season due to the death of the owner. We found a new place about 30 mins. closer to home has lots of sign but we're still learning the property. The old place wasn't very large, 77 acres, but was bordered by National Forrest on 2 sides and we have pics of a huge 3yo who we know made it through last season. I'm thinking about going into the NF and putting up a camera where I'm pretty sure he is crossing from the NF to the private proprty.

Sometimes the banks will allow hunters on with a no liabilitycontract. go talk to them and see what can be arranged.
