Arrow Length.. how do you measure your length?

Guys ..
im looking into pickin up some arrows off of ebay.. since guys on here mentioned it i did see some awseme deals..
well.. how would i measure my arrow length? from the tip to the insert of the knock? or at the end of the nock? any help ... thanx in advance.

also..i use the Beman ICS Hunter 340's ... would it be a big deal if i bought some of the ICS 400's?
i dont know jack sh** really.. really new to the bow thing.. i shoot great.. but learning the details of the hobby.

what is your draw length, weight, an how fast does your bow shoot? an people measure both ways i tthink the most common way isfrom the end of the knock to the end of the insert thats how i do it

The proper method is to measure from the groove of the nock to the end of the insert. I like to snap mine onto a string and then measure from the string to the end of the arrow without a tip on it.
