I need the FULL scoop on the DXT

RE: I need the FULL scoop on the DXT
Dude, if you are serious there are two bows that you have to shoot before you spend the dough. One, the Black Ice by Diamond, it is one of the smoothest bows you will find and you will still get your speed out of it. And to prove that I am impartial, check ou the Mission (Matthews) Journey. It is basically a Switchback XT and it will get you your speed, both are better priced than alot of the others out there....so that maybe you can keep whatever hoyt you go and have options.

I would reco the ally as well...but you said that you wanted to be down near 30 inch ATA....I am telling ya that black ice is sweet....if you really want to get the full Bowtech makeover shoot the General too.

I was shooting 287fps out of my Trykon with a 28.5" draw at 65lbs, with a fairly heavy arrow (somewhere in the 427grs I believe).
I haven't chronoed my Katera XL, but thats too long for you.

MW74,
I am currently shooting the Black Ice. I am not sure of all the stats and dimensions but I loveshooting it. It really shoots flat compared to my previous bow. I am very happy with it.

To answer your question:
Speed: 27" / 69# with 345 grain arrow - 290 fps
Shock-free: Better than most, not like the general though
Draw: Silky smooth
Noise: Pretty quiet
Weight: Super light and easy to maneuver with 29 3/4" a-a
Shootability: If you use good form, it'll drive tacks at 60+ yds. Takes on average 2 weeks to getused to it
Other: Some serving separationis common with stock strings with the sharp angled cam, most (including me) have bought aftermarket strings and the problem goes away. Also, some (including me) changed to an aftermarket grip like Torqueless but that's personalpreference.
I shot alot of bows and my order was 1. DXT 2. General 3. Katera If the General's draw cycle was smoother I'd bought it in a heart beat, in fact, I'll probably go back and buy itanyway justtoadd it to the arsenal
