RE: Whats tips your practice arrows ? Do you hunt with practice arrows ?
1)Whats tips are on your practice arrows ? Fiels tips and rage practice heads. I'm might shoot some slick tricks later.. I'm not sure yet if I want the rage or slick trick in my quiver yet..
2)Do you hunt with the same arrows you practice with ? Yes. I practice with the same arrows for hunting. I only have 6 hunting arrows right now..
3)What do you usually shoot at ? (target) Right now I'm shooting at hay bales but will take the Morrell BH target once I start shooting BH's
4) How often do you shoot, from ground or stand ? 100% from the ground for now....Might start practicing from a tree stand later...

RE: Whats tips your practice arrows ? Do you hunt with practice arrows ?
over 10 years ago, I decided it didnt make a lot of sense for me to practice with anything other than exactly what I would be trying to kill an animal with and that I would only get one shot at most whitetail bucks. I wasnt a 3-d shooter either...so
-I started shooting 1 shot at a time, same arrow, sameset up with the exact broadhead I'd be hunting with. I remember trying the Muzzy practice broadheads but I felt it flew a little different than my actual hunting muzzy heads.. I messed up a lot of old 3-d style targets but I figured it was worth it. Today with much better "broadhead" shootable targets it isnt so bad and I still employ the 1 shot at a time/same set up method90% of all my practice.
-about the only time I shoot field tips is in the early summer when I get out of school and have a ton of time to shoot.. I shoot a hvy lb bow and like too...so I liketo get lots of reps in just for conditioning purposes..
- I shoot from all angles off the ground, one knee, off the deck, off the roof of my house.. I get a lot of walking in doing the one shot at a time method, but I like it because I just dont see myself getting manysecond chances. Every shot has to count. The reality for me is..and this is soley personal to my nature.. IT forces me to be very focused.

RE: Whats tips your practice arrows ? Do you hunt with practice arrows ?
I have target points on my arrows now, I figure since my broadheads fly like my field points I might aswell shoot a bag (last longer)instead of my 3d target. As season gets closer I will shoot some broadheads to make sure they are on.
I hunt with the very same arrows I practice with, they are the ones I know will hit where I want them to. I have more trust in them than a new arrow thats barely been fired.
Bag or 3D deer.
Mostly from the ground and as season approaches I will shoot off the roof of my house..

1)Whats tips are on your practice arrows ? 100 grain field points or 100 grain rage practice tips.
2)Do you hunt with the same arrows you practice with ? yes, never had any trouble doing that.
3)What do you usually shoot at ? (target) layered target, 3-d deer target and a bag target.
4) How often do you shoot, from ground or stand? 80% of the time on the ground, 20% from elevated stand.

RE: Whats tips your practice arrows ? Do you hunt with practice arrows ?
1. I use regular field points
2. Yes, I hunt with my practice arrows(Is that really that bad?)
3. I have 1 small black-hole, one cabelas broadhead target, if I want to be realistic, I put a cardboard deer cut out.
4. I have a treestand setup on my garage, which a lot of people from the neighborhood come over to shoot off of, but otherwise I shoot off the ground.

1)Whats tips are on your practice arrows ? 100 grain field pointsand some of my old broadheads I have dulled beyond repair. Still shoot the same kindthough, so its good for tuning.
2)Do you hunt with the same arrows you practice with ?No. I have a quiver with 5 arrows that are aligned perfectly with my broadheads. So, I leave them put away with my broadheads until hunting season.
3)What do you usually shoot at ? (target)A McKenzie Shotblocker, a 3-D deer, and a bagtarget hanging in a frame.
4) How often do you shoot, from ground or stand? I would like to shoot everyday, but can't. So I shoot every other day mostly from the ground but sometimes from a treestand.
