I think that one of the best pieces of advice I could give you is to go to a bow shop. Get measured for a bow. Then try to find something used. Bows are like computers. They don't hold their value at all. And a lot of guys HAVE TO HAVE the latest bow out by their favorite company and they usually sale their "outdated" bow pretty cheap.
If I weren't a lefty I would have a house full of bows. Can't ever find a lefty who likes to trade bows all the time.

parker has one that is close to the price rage for you, I think it is the Buck Hunter.... not sure though, but you are looking at at least 450$ for everything you need to get started.
