The answer is getting the government out of the way of the free market. Government payments for all of these ethanol plants is not only increasing taxes (as it takes far more money to produce ethanol than what is gained in the end product when it is made from corn) but now it is driving the food price up with the large consumption on grain. Have you seen the corn price?!?!

I heard part of a radio program last week that was talking about the refinery problem in the US. Dirt bag, left wing organizations file lawsuits against anyone who applies for the permits to build a refinery for fuel. This is not only expensive for the investors, but it ties the process up in court for so long that the investors back out. They were also quoting some "educated" bark humpers saying that this high fuel price has been there long term goal for a long time to force society into being more environmentally concious. I just hope that after these liberal retards getdone destroying my country(and it looks like they might get it done) that there is still a country left that we can salvage.

We have plenty of alternatives to fuel power. We also has our own oil in this country.

They problem is this:

The people whom OWN this country and live in the islands, get much more rich by having the oil companies import oil to sell, while simultaenously exporting all of the oil from Alaska and other States.

Its pretty much public knowledge know that our Country is not run by our Government, its run by Banks and the people whom own them, thus, owning the Country and living in the Camans.

If we would just utilize and sell our own oil to our citizens, we would probably be paying like .50cents per gallon !
100% right!!! Just take a look at this matrix...notice the six countries with the cheapest $/Gal?!!!!!

I lurk on this site a lot...I’m i Iraq right now...just takes one of these topics to piss me off and pull me out from the shadows...it is almost time for another revolution people!....we the people need to take back this nation from those DT249 has mentioned!!!

Can get in trouble for saying that...in case you don't know...service members must defend the Constitution.....but may not be covered by all of its Amendments.

Go figure...but i don’t give a flying you know what...i will say what i feel and let the chips fall where they may!!!

I really think if it gets to a certain point (i.e. $6-$8 gallon), our country will finally do something about it. The problem is, why did we wait and let it get to this point? It will be interesting times, that's for sure.
Matt, please read post #12....that is all there is to know about this issue...and any other on which our Gov goes againts the peoples opinion...some one is making the calls and it is surely not us!!!!

Gas is $0.12 per gallon in Venezuela. We also import more crude from them than OPEC. There's alot more to gas prices than just the crude. The Saudis and Venezuela are cutting imports to do their best to make sure a Democrat get elected. If that does happen, they know the fight against terrorism will lessen, the US will leave Iraq, Islam will gain virtually complete control in the Middle East and they will redirect all of their efforts to shoving Israel into the Med.
BAHHMMMM!!!!!....give this man a cigar and a beer!

If you want to see oil prices drop, all we have to do is tie the price of a bushel of corn, wheat and oats to a barrel of oil, when oil goes up food goes up,cheap oil = cheap food. These clowns have forgotten we too have deserts in America, its that we are smart enough to not live in them.

Hunger is a very persuasive argument.

Supposedly, OPEC is considering increasing production by 500,000 barrels a dayeven before they meet. These oil "experts" that I've heard and read are saying the price may increase slightly more before stabilizing, then drop somewhere back close to $100 a barrel by late fall.

Believe it or not, the cost of war has something to do with along with greed. The government just doesn't want you to know about it. Does anyone recall Eisenhower's farewell speech?

Not a big conspiritist but.....

Did anyone hear about the deal that we were able to strike up with India last year? I will leave that to your imagination!

I will say at least 4.00 before it levels off to around 3.60 and suddenly becomes the norm that we will be "used" to.
