RE: Hunting under the influence
I really don't know what to say, it's a bad deal all around. I had a good friend killed while looking for a wounded deer. He was called at work by this guy and asked if he would bring his dog to help look for the deer. The person who shot him was a real "Hot Dog", you know the type, they always have to be the one who shoots first, ect. well, he shot my friend with 00 buck, one pellet was all it took. He broke the golden rule, know your target, and whats beyond it. His actions affected so many lives its not funny. I know he did not mean to do it, but the judge did nothing. I feel the judge should have at least given him one year community service in which he would have to attend certified hunter safety courses across the state tostand before these students and tell them of this accident. It might prevent another tragic accident from happening. Be safe guy's.

bigcountry, you are right--If I ever did that to my son, I would have to look long and hard at my own continued existence....the only other thing for me to live for would be my two other children and wife....if they even wanted to talk to me. I think I would try to make things right, I would try to help kids in any way I could, but I know I would suffer past the point of return.

What a shame. It's sad that there are people like that out there who are more concerned about getting high or their next beer than the safety of their own children. I hope that guy sees himself shooting his son every time he closes his eyes for the rest of his miserable life.

I save the beer for after the hunt hopefully will I am caping out that monster buck. If the idiot was drunk and high and shot his son. He needs to be buried alive. Which I imagine he already wishes he was. Maybe accidently killing his son is enough punishment for him. I imagine he will probally never take a drink in his life or he will either do the opposite and never be able to live with his self
