I've said before what I think about Ted, and I'll say it again. I believe that Ted is anything but good for hunting. Sure he can make a good argument, but so could Hitler. The guy supports canned hunts, high fences, poor ethics, and that's just the tip of a very large iceburg of things that don't represent what I think hunting should be. Sure he speaks his mind, but 90% of the time he comes of sounding like an arrogant butthole. I love his music, but just because he hunts and I hunt doesn't mean that I want him talking to the landowners that I hunt on. Boy I don't understand what is so great about being a pompous ass.

[quote]You guys ever play army when you were a kid? There was always some little bugger-eatin'-bed-wetter in the crowd. You remember the one.....
You could sneak around the corner and unload a full magazine on him.....and he'd just stand there and say.....
"You Missed"
Somebody just got a full magazine....
That directed at me Jeff?
This coming from a guy that exagerates the age of the deer he kills to make himself look good. 3.5 and 4.5 yr olds in what dogs age?
reminds me of you present day.

Ted is an enigms to me.He is way to over the top with his emotions and carrying on the way he does,I don't at all like the canned hunts or sensationalism of killing.Yet he is quick minded and has made some very good arguments and has held his own admirably in the support of hunting and gun ownership.
He is completely different in temperment and style than me,so I find it very hard to relate to him.He influences me more negatively than positively and I am a lifetime hunter and gun owner.

"Sour grapes" don't even begin to touch what you're attempting. Out and out crudeness is what this is.
You're a sad state, sir

I usually avoid posting in threads where the topic is "what do you think about this person". In this case, I really want to say something. I've never been a Ted Nugent fan. I didn't like his music when I was in high school and he was a "superstar". It was just too coarse and vulgar to suit my tastes. I was more of a Boston fan.[8D] As a person, Ted Nugent is obviously a very quick-witted, well-articulated, outspoken extrovert who SEEMS to have a very high opinion of himself. That'sa big part of what endears him to so many people, but it makes it very difficult for me to sit through one of his shows.
I was reading some of the responses, and I did a Google search on Ted Nugent. Something popped up that said "Ted Nugent on Border Security". I watched this, and I don't know what your take is on this issue, but even though I was home alone, I was laughing out loud (literally) and applauding. If you haven't seen this, I suggest you look at it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WjFiHENNf9Q
I still don't think I could sit through one of his shows... especially when his wife (Shemayne, is it?) has her segment. That poor lady just can't seem to get her lines right and sound intelligent. It seems to me, though, thatTed Nugent is just an American who happens to be world famous (be it good or bad) who is living the dream, is very opinionated, and his unique position allows him to publicize those opinions. In the political arena, Irespect him for having the guts to stand toe to toe with anyone and tell it like he sees it. I don't agree with his "hunting" methods, but he's free to do as he chooses, isn't he?

I am a Star Trek fan. All of them. Star Trek, Star Trek TNG, Deep Space Nine, Voyager and Enterprise.... but I wouldn't cross the street to go to a Star Trek convention. I like the show. I couldn't possibly care less about the people. Does that clear it up any for ya?
