Charlie.....I wouldn't cross the street to have lunch with the guy if he was paying. I don't care for him in the least.
BUT.....he's a celebrity figure who can put himself (based on that status) in front of influential people who control hunting laws, firearms laws, etc...
For that reason, alone (NOTHING ELSE)....Yes...He's a helluva ambassador for our sport. He's passionate about it. I don't like him.....don't have any repsect for him.....etc...
You guys can't see past the man. Reminds me of a Barta thread.

Ive always thought he was awsome, till i was watching one episode of his where he totaly sold out!
He went on to say the main reason he hunts is for meat, becaysethey never shop at a store for there meat, so thats how they get it.... Thats BS 99 percent of hunters do it for the fun of it all. Its like if some anti asks you why you hunt, and you make that answer up.

DANG!!!! You guys must realy be perfect??? If you dont like his show...dont watch it. If cant stand him as a man....then dont invite him to dinner. Dont knock those of us who do. How many of the shows that we watch are realy how hunting happens? They are ALL actors and are being paid to sell products. Some just have a different sales aproach than others.
He fights for "HUNTING" that makes him a good guy in my book. What if he was against hunting...I wouldnt want PETA to have a mouth like his on their side......

I agree! So what if he hunts on a 300 acre ranch that has a fence around it. You know lots of ranches in Texas are that way. And Ted likes to hunt in Texas. I'm sure that's why he moved there. What's the difference in that and the steak or chicken you got at the store that was raised in a pen. Lets all kid ourselves and say Ted is the only hunting show that hunts this way. Lets be real folks. Youcould takemost ofthe hunting shows off T.V. if this is your way of thinking. Why just pick on Nugent? Oh because he reaches lots of people? Well that's good for our side.
