The Nuge is just "High" off life. Plain and simple. Even though i dont care for his hunting style he has done so much and continues to do alot for the future of hunting and preserving our rights to use firearms. His religious comments are a bit over the top to me but non the less he is a great man and very important to us all and our hunting rights..... OMG you think he is halarious today on his shows. I was watching a show with himon today and it had some vintage nuge clips and WOW he that was gooffy and really made me laugh. If you haven't seen em check em out. His mustach is classic!! WCL

I have had the fortune of meeting Ted a few times due to a mutual friend. I really don't care for his show at all, nor the way he handles his sponsorships...but do like some of his music ok. A few years ago, I got to attend his concert here in StL, then head backstage to his dressing room, and after that...took him out bowfishing for the rest of the night. I am here to tell you, that yeah, he was all that you see...loud, obnoxious, just what you would expect at the concert and in the dressing room with random folks there to meet him, interview, etc. There was not a drop of alcohol or any drugs to be found in his dressing room spread - NONE. Now, as soon as he got into my truck to leave the concert arena...a new man materialized. What a pleasure he was to spend real time in the outdoors with no cameras or media that he needed to "impress". Intelligent, soft spoken, and "normal" all come to mind when it comes to those several hours in the truck and in the boat.We talked about hunting, family, bowfishing, his house thathad to be dozed due to mold...just regular ole stuff.
I completelybelieve him when he says drug and alcohol free. Those that know me knowittakes alot for me to completelybelieve anyone about much of anything, LOL.

I can take him or leave him. On one hand, I don't like the fact that most of his hunts are what I consider "canned" hunts, but at least he is up front about it as compared to others such as the Drury Brothers who try to hide it, or at a minimum, certainly don't disclose it.
I also get annoyed on how he goes on and on aboutall the products that he uses to kill an animal, but hey that is capitalism in its purest form, and besides, a lot of you guys are suckers for all those gadgets and that scent lok stuff anyway.
But he is entertaining and as a celebrity, I think he does a pretty good job of conveying a positive message in regards to hunting. albeit sometimes controversial.

Ted was on TV last night and I caught part of the show with him Bird hunting and a log cabin being built . You would think that with the money he must make that he could afford more than one camo shirt with cut-off sleves . He wears the same shirt all the time !

But I am pretty sure he was never on the drug kick.
I'll give Ted credit, though....he's a helluva ambassador for the sport....and probably the best voice we have supporting us out there.
