Steve,

Remember that making video is like taking pictures...

-Grab frame grabs that make sense and add passion to the video based on the situtation or body language of the animal.

-Capture the video and trim the crap...keep the good stuff
-Use transitions and songs that keep the audience on their toes basedon the footage (this is key)

-Produce short clips that show YOU in the moment...drawing the bow, your excitement after the kill, a bird on a tree....etc...make the audience feel like they are with you....

When you make a videothink about your production as a STORY...from beginning to end...

*** This 3 minute intro took about 2 hours to capture, think about, and develop the right feeling with transitions and music...
----------------------------------------------------------
At the end of a hunting season I am left with...

5 hours of raw video....

I can create a full DVD of a deer season in about 20 hours......

It sounds like alot but when you add it up...its about a month or so of playing around when you have time away from your normal responsibilities in life.....stay with me! Lets have fun with this!!

Brian, I like it a lot. Great work. I'm looking to pick up Adobe Premier Elements in the next week or so to chop up the footage from this spring. Then I'll jump to full blown Premier. I just hope it turns out half as good as what you did. Once you get Adobe we'll have to chat and bounce some ideas off one another.

Good job again. I can't wait to see some more of your stuff.

Nice video, def a good choice with the music! the camera work was all really good, the hawk footage was neat too. Also I like the fact that it wasn't a bunch of huge bucks on super managed ground, I can't relate to that. Its nice to see some realistic hunting footage
