Default california turkeys

any body hunt this weekend?how was it?
last week i had birds gobbling like crazy had one at 10 yards and couldnt get drawn[&:]- wasnt in the best place to hide, still very fun. had another at 20 yards but never had a good clean shot[:@]
went out today and never saw a bird or heard a gobble.Im hoping today was just one of those queit days and they arent done

I had the same thing happen in Oklahoma. Last weekend they were going nuts. Last night was the most perfect night of the season and I didn't hear anything, and saw only 1 hen.

So, when hunting in California... can you still use hen calls to bring in a male bird or do they just come other male calls? [8D] Just kidding man, just kidding.
