Maybe it's just the demographics of it all - but a while back, my sister started dating some guy and she said "you'll LOVE him, he bowhunts!"

My gut reaction was "I'm gonna despise this guy."

And I did. Lucky for me, she didn't like him either.

I hope my little sister (10) finds a guy who is into hunting, and fishing. I know my other "little" sister (18) screwed that one up, already

John - I'd love to be a fly on the wall and see the look on the poor boy's face when he shows up to pick up your daughter for their first date - and Big John answers the door and promptly lays down all the groundwork for EXACTLY how their date is gonna go. LMAO

To answer your question seriously. I hope all of my kids -if they choose to marry- marry someone who loves them and is caring and giving. Reguardless of their hobbies.

Carolyn's future boyfriends will have to pass the Rottweiler testand the Dad test before they even get to the Mom test. And that will just be for the first date LOL

When I told Carolyn she could go hunting with me she was so excited she was calm. Too funny. She doesn't know about the bow yet, that'll be great to see her reaction LOL. She has already "helped" me skin and butcher deer and chickens.

You got that right!! I'll give him the old "I've got a .45 and a shovel....and I know how to use them both"

Oh, and there will be no "horn honking" going on in the BigJ house, them boys better come to the door and take their medicine....If I hear a horn he better be delivering a pizza or I'm "going off!"[:@]

Yeah....she's gonna hate me.[&:]
