RE: Help...07 Allegiance vs 08 Marquis vs 08 Black Ice
Based on your opinions, it sounds as though the Marquis and Allegiance are just a step above the Black Ice. I held and drew both the Marquis and Black Ice yesterday and they felt really good in hand and on the draw. The Marquis was so well balanced. The Black Ice felt good too though. Of those two I'm leaning toward the Marquis. I like the longer a2a length, string suppressor, and higher speeds. As far as the allegiance goes, I've never been able to get my hands on one. I don't have many shops around me and only one has some bowtech's. They only have 4 and none of them are the allegiance. It obviously is very highly recommended, but I'm curious as to what the cons would be of the allegiance?

The only cons I can think of for the Allegiance would be you won't want to put it down and you'll lose all of your friends because they'll be jealous of you.
The Ally is a great bow. One of, if not the best I've ever owned.

I personally like the Black Ice out of the 3. Smooth draw, little hand shock, quiet and a very accurate bow. Good luck with your decision all 3 are great bows.

Well I went to the shop that had the Bowtech's. All they had were some Patriot's, Constitution's, and Black Knight's. I don't want to compare the Allegiance to any of these because I think they were all 05's. I would assume the 07's are much improved. I didn't like these bows at all. Does any body know of any videos showing the Allegiance in action? I've seen some videos of the Marquis and Black Ice. Those were very helpful.

There was a shop that had Patriots and Black Knights still??
Wow.
Go to youtube.com and type in Allegiance video... Donnie Frohm might still have some older stuff out there, or you may find someone else's Ally on there.

The Allegiance holds and shoots great with more speed then the other two. As you can see, I chose the Black Ice after shooting all three but it felt the best to me. I did not notice any difference in speed between the Marquis in the Black Ice, but I definately noticed it more and the harder hitting in the Allegiance, but still it did not feel the best to me so I ended up with the Black Ice. I don't think that you can go wrong with either the Black Ice or the Allegiance. Narrow it down to two than go from there but you should try all three. Gander Mountain carries both the Marquis and the Black Ice but not the Allegiance. It would be a good place to start.

Yeah, Gander Mountain was the place that let me draw both the Marquis and Black Ice. It's a brand new store (2 weeks) so they didn't have any set up to demo yet. I loved both of them, though. I'm leaning in that direction just because I've been able to see them and draw them. Unfortunately, like I said, nobody has the Allegiance's around.
Greg/Mo, couldn't find any videos on youtube. They must have been taken off. And yes, it's hard to believe that they can still be selling the 05 Bowtech's, but this shop is. They've got new Mathews and Hoyts though. Neither are my cup of tea. It isn't a very good shop. The guys who run the place are the brooding gun shop kind of guys. There is a girl in her 20's that works there that is easily the most knowledgeable person to talk to. I only go in there when I have to.
