Default Wouldn't know it...

So sat I went turkey hunting and only heard two gobble one time each. I went pre fishing yesterday for a tourny coming up and I heard a gobbler about 100 yds away gobbling at 12:30 pm. I didn't have a call , but no problem, I can call pretty darn well with my mouth. So I gave it try. Within 20 minutes I had him at 30 yds coming in to me!! He got within about 25 yds all hot and bothered to the edge of the creek. He then realized that hens don't usually sit in a 20 ft Triton and wait for a gobbler, he took off when he saw me! But I could of got him if I were hunting!!

I always have a shotgun in the boat if I am fishing during turkey season.

Yeah that's true. Most of our lakes are corps land so it's public hunting.
