Default See your arrow flight?

For the sake of this poll lets say the shot is 20 yards.

At times I have a hard time seeing my arrowflight. My feathers are orange and chartuce(sp). I think that would help in seeing the flight.

My bow shoots 280 fps. but my old bow was no where near that and still had trouble seeing the flight at times.

Longbow, yes. Elite Fire at 311 fps, no.

Mine shots about 240'/sec and I see it most of the time, depends on daylight or lack of it (dusk).

I think alot of the time, we perceive that we are seeing our arrows fly, when in reality it is just our mind constructing this after our arrow hits the target.....for me, I am watching the target, not my arrow.

Yes you may be concentrating on your spot but with a properly executed shot you should see your arrow in flight.

I learned a long time ago when I shot field and target archery that one of the least important things in archery is seeing the arrow in flight. Tune the equipment well and arrow flight is good. Other than that the best thing you can do is concentrate on aiming and let the bow shoot the arrow. The arrow will go where you are aiming. If you concentrate on seeing the arrow then you are not aiming. Aim the bow, concentrate on where you want the arrow to hit and have confidence in your ability and your equipment and you may see the arrow going. If you don't then it should be where the pin was when the bow went off.
