RE: Turkey questions for TOMMORROWS hunt...
If you know where they roost i would set up fairly close and put decoys out. When they fly down they should be able to see them.
This early you kind of need to be where the birds want to be. They decoywill most likelyspark some curiosity in them and help bring them in even closer. If you have a full strutt decoy i would recommend that. We had good success with them in KS last weekend.
Good luck!

RE: Turkey questions for TOMMORROWS hunt...
I'm in a pickle, here. Rain (and I'm sure soeone will correct me if I'm wrong.....lol) "Typically" means get out of the woods.....and into field edges and fields.
I'm in a bad spot for tomorrow (we have a 40% chance of thundershaowers).....because I NOW where they're roosting.....and I feel my best chance is in a woods setting (which is only the case because of my access).
If I had a good field edge to set up on.....THAT is where I'd be.

Yes
I don't even know if I want to elaborate[&o]
You are going to have to call louder so it cuts through the rain, depending on how much is coming down. (I'm sure someone will disagree)
Do you know where the turkeys are roosting?
edit: just saw the post...
and no, rain shouldn't be a major issue. I've killed four turkeys in the rain.
Good Luck, sounds like it will be productive

They have been roosting in pretty much the same location for the past few weeks, changing trees, but not location. They frequent the same field in the morning hours, daily. They have NOT been called to, or distrubed, aside from tractors working the fields that will be corn this year.
