6+ mos later you all can finally be subjected to the final posting of this buck (unless it's made under a special request of course)
I had a great weekend hanging out with 2 of my best friends at a local 3D bowhunter's festival, and we got the call that our bucks were done as well!
So we blew out of the shoot Sunday evening to get to the taxidermist before he dissapeared for the day. To say I am pleased with this mount is an absolute understatement. I simply think it's one of the nicest top to bottom whitetail mounts I've ever seen.
Frank's and mine were done by the same taxidermist (Jim Keller in Harrisburg, PA), Russ used his guy up in NY but he also just got his buck and wanted to bring it down to get a couple pictures of the great season 3 friends had.
So we snuck down the street and used the neighbor's woodpile as a backdrop without his permission, so even if you think it's borderline "fluffy" to take these pics we have to get some sort of style points for dodging a misdameanor tresspass charge in the process.
(L to R) Frank and his also over-exposed PA buck, Myself, and Russ and his NY archery buck. 143",149" and 128" respectively.
My buck's temporary resting place in my workshop until the basement is finished.
What started as unfinished basement space as well....the workshop is looking pretty spiffy if I do say so myself. [:-]

Dadgone matt, is the wife making you keep it in the basement.
To be fair though I have complete say on how the basement is finished in creating a true "Manland" (as long as it doesn't involve poor lighting and a stripper pole )
