Wearing Glasses While Shooting ?
I have been noticing that I was having some decline in my long distance vision, I was straining to see clearly at even 20 yards things just kept getting fuzzer and fuzzer and after shooting half of the indoor leagues course I was getting headaches.
I have never worn glasses and hadnt had my vision checked in years. I had my vision checked by the doctor yesterday and was very suprised to find out how much my vision had deteriated. Well with the new presricption it is amazing how much better I can see now, I never relized how bad my vision was[:-] They told me that the contacts I would have to wear for my eye stigmatizm are very expensive( they are ordering me a free trial pair) so contacts might not be an option, so for now its glasses. I am not a happy camper right now. I did pick a pair that I found that I can clearly see while shooting.
When bowhunting during the shot How do you keep your glasses from fogging up ?
Is there a product or something you can use to treat the lenses to keep them from fogging up? Thanks for any help

Lady Forge, They make several different antifog sprays. I wore glasses for nearly 40 years and had no significant problem with them except for rain. 2 years ago I went and had the Lasik surgery done and absolutely love it.

Lady Forge: I' ve had to wear glasses for about 10 years now and the only time that I have a problem with them fogging up is when I first get into my stand in the morning and afternoon. Once you get settled in and your body cools you should' nt have any problem. My glasses have never fogged up from the excitement of seeing a deer.

Hey LF I have both, contacts and glasses. The only bummer with glasses for ME is rain and Binoculars. I have to take the glasses off to look thru the binos, more of a hassle. Sometimes when I staring for a long time my contacts get dry and about fall out of my head, so i carry a small bottle of eye juice! I have been thinking about the surgery, maybe this summer. Both my neighbors had it the same week and each only missed one day of work. I guess it is pretty routine. Still freaks me out, if something went wrong. Not good!

I also wear a face mask and glasses while hunting and had a problem of the glasses fogging up. I bought a product called Rain-Ex anti fog. A couple of drops on the lenses before I go hunting, no more problem. Hope this helps.

Lady Forge - There is a product called " Magic Ter' N Wipes" that works wonderfully. They come in the little foil pouches similar to those moist wipes packets. Only down side is they are only available in boxes of 100. I can get you more details if you are interested.

RE: Wearing Glasses While Shooting ?
I wore contacts for most of my life and could not shoot while wearing glasses. My anchor point would not allow me to see through the lens, instead I was looking through the opening at the bridge, so everything down range was blurred. Since I wore contacts during the day this was not an issue while hunting, only if I tried shooting in the evening after I took my " eyes" out or if I lost a lens while in the woods. I tried changing anchor point, etc to no avail, I was just not comfortable while shooting with glasses.
So I did the next best thing...LASIK.
No more contacts, no more glasses, no glare, no fogging, no nothing except fine sight!
