Huntingson - I smell what you're cookin' there - and can relate a bit. I'm almost always by myself when I shoot something - and I generally don't take any pics of me with the deer. However, Ihave to get onefor the HNI contest - so I'm usually scrambling with the timer and I always screw up at least 3-4 before I get one right.

I'll tell you the pictures that I think are the funniest: "The Eye Gazer" "The Promoter" and "The Heavy Petter."

"The Eye Gazer" is obvious - where the hunter is posing staring deeply into its eyes -almost as if it's an engagement photo withhis bride-to-be. That one totally weirds me out. It looks like they're ready to start a steamy makeout session.

"The Promoter" is waiting for the Drury brothers to call. He's got all his labels and products prominently displayed. He's making his magazine face. He's got hisvarious scents all lined up in the background. His Primos grunt tube peeking out of his collar. Alpha burly's strategically positioned such that you can see the insignia on the side strap. Lone Wolf climber leaned up against a tree... He's ready. This is his chance to break out into archery fame.

"The HeavyPetter" is even weirder - as the hunter poses while petting the carcass like it's still alive and he's consoling it or something. I don't know what the heck to think about it. I guess it's not that bad. All I know is that it makes me uncomfortable.
LOL! I am probably guilty 2 of those (not the promoter), but that is still funny. "the eye gazer" just got me again and a little coffee went out the nose!

I had to set the timer this year for my Indiana buck and to be honest, those pictures were better than my other buck where my dad and wife were both taking pictures. Every time I looked at one of them, it was the other one who was taking the picture. I swear, after looking that those pictures I wondered which one of us needed to start wearing the styrofoam helmet.

Also, I held out the rack of the IN buck, which was way smaller than my OH buck, and in the pictures he looks comparable. Heck, if you look at my buck from last year's contest and compare the pictures to this year's, last year's will look bigger and he was significantly smaller. The things you can do with camera angle is amazing.

I think Fran is trying to come out of the closet!!Just kiddin buddy. I know a guy before he makes a call to anyone he goes home changes clothes and showers then calls everybody to tell them he shot one.

I like a nice tastefull picture with no trucks or houses in them. Respect the animal.

we really ought to do a "worst" photo contest.. tongues hanging, testicles dangling, blood spewing out of an exit hole type photo.. you'd get your man card for something like that..

I love it, I am guilty of the first I guess, definately not the second and not sure about the third. You mean you dont want to become involved with a massive antlered whitetail?[8D][8D]
