He was only about 200 yards. I thought about launching an arrow at the Jeep!
Can a bowtech shoot that far?[8D]

I'm sure glad you guys weren't hurt. That was definately a bad situation.

I was sitting in a brush pile one morning that kinda separated two fields. I was facing the woodline side and was calling a little bit. All of a sudden I seen this guy and his kids head coming over the horizon slightly behind me. As they got a little closer I saw the boy with his shotgun raised to shoot at my decoys. I yelled out "don't shoot, I'm coming out of the brush" and they both stood there like a couple zombies.

They were also on private property that only I was supposed to be hunting. All they could say was we heard some turkeys and thought your decoys were them. They never apologized or anything just walked back the way they came. I gave up Turkey hunting for years after that. Now I'm getting into it again bow only though.

You should've at least reported the incident to the local authoritys. In a small community like that, you can bet that a vehicle discription would lead them to the person/s that did the shooting.
Remember, just last year a goose hunter was shot by a poacher/road hunter while laying in/near his decoys in KS. It can happen and the jerk that shot at your decoys needs to be reported.
Glad you guys had luck on your side. BUT I'd still report it.
