I am just shocked with all the bowtech team on these pages, they are not filling your mailbox up trying to get it resolved?

This is where his dealer comes in, plain and simple. It will be resolved and that's the way to resolve it, no use to fill his mailbox. Thanks for you input tho.
Sorry, I know your feathers can get ruffled rather easy. So I appoligize. I just thought all those bows they give you guys every year was to be earned by internet damage control and going to bowtech events.

But thanks for the response tho

Is this the route we're taking now? [:-] Feathers ruffled, hmmm I note that it will get resolved, it's no use to fill his mailbox, the advice would be to take it to his local dealer to resolve the issue, that advice was given many times, no damage control needed as it's a simple fix by his dealer and my feathers are ruffled.? yeah okay there big guy.

Thanks for the insult tho.

IMO,the dealer should have noticed the finish was wrong and in the very least, asked if you still wanted the bow and maybe even offered a discount because your resale will probably suffer because of it.

BUT,it is no secret that Bowtech has had limb issues in the past and they still have Gordan Glass Limbs to the best of my knowledge so it is completely possible it is just a limb failure and the dealer had nothing to do with it.

I don't feel that all the blame goes to the dealer on this one,all manufactuers screw up from time to time,EVEN IF it is your bow of choice,Lord knows Hoyt has but I still like them.

The title of the thread is misleading. This has nothing to do with Bowtech. It could be any bow manufacturer, heck it doesn't even have to be a bow. The new truck analogy said it best. As for it not being all the dealers fault, the limbs arent but if they're trying to pass you a bow that you didn't order, run dont walk there and get your money back and go somewhere that's on the level. Stand up and be heard, dont get walked on.

Uhhhh, yeah. W/out question. Yes, it is the shop's issue.......BUT.......if the bow came from Bowtech w/out the invelvet finish as it is supposed to have.........Pardon me, but doesn't bowtech have some responsibility in this as well? IF the bow is indeed an '08 model, is supposed to have the invelvet finish, and it doesn't......That mean it left the bowtech factory that way. The dealer didn't remove it, it never freakin had it.

I do agree, w/out question, the shop should have caught that and sent it back w/ instructions to send the right bow. Now, the limb cracking could be all kinds of things, ranging from faulty manufacturing to being pressed wrong, to being dropped and mishandled during shipment. Hell, who knows. But ultimately.....Your shop shouldn't turn a cold shoulder to it, they NEED TO MAKE IT RIGHT. And they're going to have to deal w/ bowtech to do it, because they also have some responsibility in this.

Thanks for proving my point rob. Man, take it easy, its just the internet. He is obviously taking your advise. Duh. What choice does he have?

All I am saying, is an alternitive in customer service is like my company does. We have sales engineers/and dedicated sales force,(guys that make 6 figure commissions and should be getting the job done)but if I hear a customer like ATT or Sprint is unhappy and the sales team is not getting the job done, you bet your boots, I am going go out of my way to make it right. Even though I am just the Research engineer.

But bowtech obviously has a different business model.

What on earth are you talking about.......dude it's Saturday, we have lives. LOL
I just got on here for the first time since early this AM and wasn't going to get on until tomorrow, some guys are turkey hunting others are off with their kids.
To expect us to be here 24/7 waiting for this very event to fill up an inbox is silly.

I'm just trying right now to make sense of what the deal is.
An 08' shouldn't even go out with a different finish, it's the standard finish. If your dipping every bow in the Invelvet how does one go out without it? Something is goofy for sure.

What camo is on the bow? Standard camo for 07 was Mossy Oak Obsession, standard camo for 08' is Realtree Hardwoods Gray.

And I have a contact in to the tech, sales and warranty departments to check on this one and get some advice on how to adress the customer...........before I read the dig for lack of help.

We can see what we can do, but t is teh weekend and Rob is correct, the course of action is to take it back to th edealer, get their advice, have them contact warranty and see what's going on and it wouldn't surprise me if a new bow is on the way that afternoon.

It's an inconvenience and I'll be the first to apologize wholeheartedly on Bowtech's behalf, but we'll make it right through the dealer.
I have confidence in that.

I didn't prove your point. Just becaue you insulted me doesn't mean it affected me in any way shape or form, as you put it, it's just the internet. Just noting and thanking you for it.

And as far as a business plan, this is very simple. I don't have the limbs he needs, I doubt anyone else here does either or that could happen. The fastest service he will receive is at his dealer. Walk in, explain it, take care of it. No need for an Eng. Have a good evening.
