Sept 26th-Oct.22nd and again Nov21st-Dec17th....Working in the oilfield overseas allows me to only work 6 months a year and I get a month at a time off.

Don't plan that Nov vacation yet, the MO website says opening firearms day is the 15th!
I'll be off the first week of Archery Season in September and another 2 weeks in November

This is a rather interesting fall. Being a leap year kinda messed me up a little, and the second full moon is late this fall, Nov. 13. I can't take off the 1st of any month due to inventory responsibilities, so I can't take my "normal" week off. Also, MO's rifle season is early this year, opening on Nov. 8. I don't rifle hunt, but I will go some w/ my bow, but I don't take that week off like most people I know do. Also, with it being earlier this year I think the artillery will take out a few more bucks than average. So I had a real delima as when to take off this year.
I decided on Oct. 27, and Nov. 5-11. Looking @ quicksilver's poll, that looks to be the right time.
So how about it? When are ya'll taking off work this year, in the hopes of dropping that buck?

18th - 28th September Elk hunting in Colarado , mountains , Elk and friends ... its gonna be great , especially as this is my first Bowhunt and not my last .

LOL...Which hunting vacation. I have trips planned to Missouri, will hunt there for a week in Sep when it first opens (15th-21st), will be there for a week again in Oct (13th-19th), will be there for a week in Nov (1st-9th). I will hunt Illinois every weekend when not in Missouri, plus will be on vacation to hunt Illinois Nov 10th - Nov 23rd. Nothing like blowing a year's worth of vacation in two months.

My hunting or vacation will start August 15th when bear baiting opens. Every weekend from there to August 30th I'll be in Northern Minnesota baiting bears. Bear hunting opens September 1st and most likely I'll take 10 days off to hunt these awesome critters. Then the middle to late October I'll start hunting the whitetails until mid November or so.

I'm taking off next week to chase Merriams in NE.
I'll take a week off in Late April to chase Turkeys in MO.
A week in June to go on a Fishing trip with the little lady in my life
A week Late Oct. to Chase Mulies in NE.
Nov. to chase Whitetails in IL.
A week in Dec. to chase Mulies again in NE.
That's the plan!

I have April 21st and 22nd off for spring turkey(maybe a couple extra days)
I have Nov. 5th - 12th off for whitetail
I rest of my vaction will be for summer days here and there....
