Bucks still carrying their antlers. Explanations?

I like Ryan's explanation.They are just taunting you as you say.I definitely would find it peculiar in my area.I think it is because with all the huge bucks coming out of PA now,the younger bucks want to carry their head gear as long as possible so it is less likely one of the slammers doesn't start to think that they are looking pretty good!So my theory is that they are doing it to protect themselves from an over zealous mature buck,in fact I bet that some of them have super glued their antlers to their head and will only shed when the new antlers push the old antlers off.
The true answer Fran is that I don't know,sorry you are not finding any sheds!
