Loggers don't have time to try and track down who's stand it is...They move in, get their timber and move out...It's not their fault...

As Lance said, they see stands all the time...Sounds like you need to have better a better relationship with the land owner...
it not their fault they stole my stand?????? It was chained and locked to the tree they cut downand they cutthe chain that held it to the tree (They did not take the part of the tree the stand was chained to)and stole it.
I dont expect them to track down the owners stands, they should have left it on the tree because they did not use that part of the tree, they only used the bottom 10 ft of the tree or so.
If there is a stand in the tree they cut down they should just leave the stand on the ground.
Thislogger is a thief!!!!

As another consideration, lots of times you will get landowners that let lots of people come in and cut firewood from the tree tops that are left behind by loggers. One of them could be the culprit if the stand was actually left sitting on the ground by loggers.
nobody has been in there cutting firewood....none of the tree tops were cut on.
