Best state to live in?

RE: Best state to live in?
Idaho is beautiful and has some great hunting opportunities. Montana as well.. My Aunt lives there and I plan to make another trip out there asap. Having said that, I think I like the East for living better for some odd reason. PA is great in that it has a wide variety of seasons/weather, and the various hunting/fishing opportunities are endless. I don't like the immediate city I grew up around (Williamsport), as it's turning into a gang/drug-infested scum bag breeding ground. Sometimes, I hate how long our winters are, and it makes me want to move to NC. I could live a lot of different places. Not sure there is just ONE best place to live for me.

I'm happy right here. BUt I could be happy most anyplace with my family.
I hear New Mexico has 23 million species and no leases, but you have to shoot a 60# bow! [:-]

RE: Best state to live in?
Grew up in PA but spent nearly all my adult life in NY. Love both, but as I'm getting on a bit (56) I'm starting to get a little tired of the long winters here. The wife and I are thinking about buying a winter hide away where its warmer. Not too far south though, couldn't totally leave the north east. Maybe south western VA. In time maybe make it a permanent home. Anyway, as far as the best state, overall I'd have to pick NY.

Nobody wants to live in the South??? I love Va for the mild winters and warm springs and HOT summers, and we have the mts on side and the beach on the other!! with river bottoms in between!! large deer and turkey pops, and some great bass fishing in our rivers and lakes. My buddy went bass fishing yesterday and caught 20! Second day of March!!! gotta love it!
