I must be cheap...I bought a used bow about 10-12 years ago to replace my 1975 Bear Whitetail....I paid $150 for it...I buy a dozen arrows every year or so (still shoot aluminum), still shoot Thunderhead 125s and resharpen them when needed...Still shoot fingers, a tab lasts me 5-6 years....

I bought my deer rifle in 1980 with vacation time I sold back to the Company, I built my muzzleloader in the 80s and melt my own round balls...I do buy a couple of pounds of powder a year...My Lifetime License was $300 that I bought in 1983...I hunt my own property...

I have 3 daughters...25...22 and 16 so I have had to put two through college, one is in grad school, bought 3 cars for them and paid for a wedding on the Outer Banks last year...

I can't afford a new bow every few years....

You are a lucky man...We have 3 farms, fortunately we have had them over 40 years, so they are paid for...I have spent a bit on farm equipment, but that's tax deductable...

btw...If you have ever eaten any Planters peanuts, could have come from right here...
