Do You Consider Yourself A Professional Hunter?

RE: Do You Consider Yourself A Professional Hunter?
AF, while I see your point there are some other things that need to be considered. For example, I pay for all of my equipment and resources used for hunting. So, the income in kind as you referred to it was not just borne out of my efforts, but also through purchasing the tools of the trade. Also, I believe a profession is something that you can use to provide a living off of. While you are providing sustanance with hunting you cannot live off of food alone, or at least I can't.
So, while I do provide with by passion of hunting and it supplies me with a form of income, I would be hesitant to consider myself a professional at it. Once I can write off my expenses for hunting, then I'll consider the title of "professional hunter" until then...

No.
Even if I eventually cameto make a living thru the hunting world, I wouldn'tconsider myselfa professional hunter. To me, that title is left for the guys in africa who track down maneaters and guide people on dangerous game hunts.

Well I am awfully good!LOL I am not sure it would be near the amount of fun if I had to do it.The ultimate for me would be to be so financially comfortable that I could hunt as much as I wished to where ever I wished to,but being told that I can't take the shot by the camera man because the Boone & Crockett buck isn't posing correctly yet.I DON'T THINK SO!

Nobody is paying me to hunt, as a matter of fact it usually costs me money so I don't consider myself a professional hunter.
Actually I'm not a professional anything, I am a laborer. A well trained monkey could probably do my job to be honest. And according to my boss it might do it with less attitude.

After I shoot that monster buck in the other thread and get paid a boat load of cash for endorsing something, then yes I would be calling myself a professional hunter.
