RE: 3D Score?
I checked the scores
open A 410
open B 417
open c 411
semi pro 411
The pros walked off at 424 before their shootdown round.
This is outside under MUCH tougher conditions with 40 targets.

I'll assume your talking hunter class. Around here, the weekend warriors that are good shooters but don't take it too seriously in HC will average 280-285 counting center 11's on a 30 target course.

Don’t get your self down, the scores will come with time and practice. By time your league is over you should see an improvement. 3-d is about 3 things- shooting, judging distance and knowing your target. You need all 3 to be really good at it. Judging distance and knowing your targets scoring rings are things you can do any were at any time. If you need shooting help find a mentor or coach they can help you over the rough spots.
Set your self reasonable goals to shoot for. Like when I started shooting 3-Ds my 1st goal was to get all kill shots (8 or higher) it took a while.

RE: 3D Score?
The best shooters at our local clubs will shoot even, and sometimes up a few points... That's targets out to 40-45 yds...
With the range you described, I think most good shooters would be even and your top dogs would be up points....330 sounds a little high to me, that's 15 twelves....

RE: 3D Score?
I shot my first 3-D shoot in 13+ years last weekend with GMMAT. Hunter class, 30 yard max, 20 targets, I shot a 185 if Jeff done the math rightj/k. What hampered me most was not knowing the targets that well. I'm using excellent binos, but on some targets I still couldn't tell where the 12 was (not that it would have helped) but I would have felt more comfortable knowing exactly where to aim. I'm doing it totally for fun, exact same setup as what I hunt with, so I don't consider my 185tobad. If Ikeep it up through outthe summer I hope to avg. in the 195-200 range.

RE: 3D Score?
Depends on how long you have been shooting 3D and at what kind of yardage. If you averaged an 8 for each target (a kill shot) you have a 240. If it is like most in-door 3D leagues I have been in, then you are shooting 20 yards and should be shooting near 300.

RE: 3D Score?
That depends how many weeks he has been doing it for.
I asked the guy who owns the shop I now shoot for what my personal goal should be the first time I went out to shoot 3D.... his reply was "Come back with all your arrows."
I shoot two a month and my goal is to stay above 265, we score 5-8-10-11. The guys who win hunter class typically shoot between 295 and 305. My personal best is 292. And my worst was a 262. I've been shooting a bow for about 9 years, but this will be my third summer shooting 3D.
I'd say that if you are shooting every single week, and you are a good shot, but still fairly average (like me), your average should be in the 270s.
