LMAO. I see where you are going with this. But what if I get a 20 yd. shot with the rifle instead of a 500 yd. shot?

I agree about the trad statement though, that takes bow hunting to another level.

Dude this poll is on a bowhunting forum
Like asking who is Better MI or Oh in football in aMI board[&:]
And who cares, who really cares.
If some bowhunter thinks he is great, well who cares, ignore him and be happy, Geezish.

In a perfect world with NO variables bow hunting is a tougher game.
BUT....I huntprimarily bow but I do hunt gun and I have sure seen alot more deer with a bow in hand than with a gun and I can't count the number of times I have had deer well within 20 yards that didn't get an arrow. I also think my chances of a quality deer with a bow is better unless it is one of those rookies who pop a giant with a rifle on their first time out of the barn.
I think for me I would have to spend alot more time in the woods with a shotgun before I killed a deer than with a bow so NO. Bowhunting IS not more of a challenge for me. Tougher and more time consuming with too many hot summer days setting stands and such yes., but more challanging in execution NO..

The number of "monster" bucks on my wall would be exponentially greater had I been able to use a rifle instead of a bow over the past 10 years. No other factor than distance of the shot! I've been able to, year in and year out, get within 50-150 yds. of some fabulous bucks. Too far for a bow shot! When I was able to finally close the distance, I was unable to draw without being seen. I'm also a gun hunter, and enjoy the gun season, but bowhunting is by far, more difficult to connect on a "mature" whitetail.
