You are absolutely right on that bow and 60#'s. When I started bow hunting, a little over 16 yrs. ago, I shot an 80# bow. Since then I have always shot 70#"s because that is whats comfortable for me. When I shot that 60# 82nd. at the shop, it was a no-brainer, I promptly placed an order.Why shoot 70#'s when you can shoot 60# and still be smoking an arrow faster than most 70# bows? It saves on shoulder wear and tear, allows you to draw more comfortably from awkward positions, and allows you to shoot longer with less fatigue. What's not to like? Glad to hear the 60# thing is working out for you.

What did that arrow weigh Jeff?

Mine shot a 407-410 grainer at 285-287fps. It shot the 300gr arrow at 322fps. (Both at 58/59 lbs).

I'll be putting the 60/70's on for sure. At least after turkey season...

Heck I made the same comments after getting the Iron Mace last year. I'm shooting 61#s and getting 327 with the target IBO legal set up... why the heck would I want to shoot 70#s? Why would anyone want to shoot 70#s when they can do the same thing at 60#s now that four years ago we were doing at 70#s.... how far in the ground you want your arrow to stick anyway?

I am STILL an advocate of a man shooting all he feels comfortable shooting. Is there really a debte as to whether or not 70# is better than 60#? If you can shoot the higher poundage....by all means....let 'er rip.

Dub....those speeds are with a 327gr. target arrow. I'll let you know what my hunting arrow does when I get it set up fro that....and when I get my chrono[8D]. My hunting arrow will be 427gr. I'm guessing 300fps or so at 62#'s......but that's a complete guess.

Didn't I tell you this last summer and you told me 70#s was the only way? A bow performs best at peak weight so instead of turning a 70# bow down to 60#, crank your 50-60 # bow all the way up which with my Tribute and Guardian is 61 and 62 #. 70 # bows are dumb IMO in todays fast and highly efficient bows.Glad to see you have seen the light."[8D]

I read it. Like I said, Glad you have seen the light. Or are 70# bows the best thing since apple butter and needed for marginal shots and busting through shoulders and all of the other blah blah blah I hear from the other 70# shooters?
