I wish my buddy from NJ checked this site because he is convinced that big bucks in NJ are all hit by cars before they can become really monster bucks. This might sway his thinking.

Not true. I mean, yea in some areas they get smoked by cars....but some of my spots, they have NO reason to cross a street. Even during the rut.
I've been telling him that for years. I've said that they've lived long enough to get to be 3.5 why would they suddenly get dumb and die. I think he uses it as a justification for shooting deer that he's on the fence on. You know, "Well, he would have gotten hit by a car after the season anyway, so I had to take him." Everytime I hear that I cringe.
