See the doe getting in range(by the way i get just as excited about does as i do bucks). wether its the first flight of ducks after your decoys are set out and its not shooting time yet andmy labis justlooking at methinking why arent you shooting.Or weather you on the lake fishing for that big bass on the lake knowing that any second that a 10 pounder could slam the hell out of your spinnerbait trying to pull your rod out of your hand.

Where is the "all above" option in your poll? I don't think any one of them explains it fully, not sure if there is any words that could ever explain it fully.

The planning and the challenge of it all....it must be in my blood as noone in my family hunted and I just picked it up on my own at age 17. I was told my uncle used to hunt Mule Deer in NM and Texas but I never got to talk to him about it as he moved to Europe.

I enjoy all of it.Be it bow, gun ML......whatever.My father and I became best friends while we hunted together. I learned lessons that I will never forget. As I get older it seems to be a bigger part of my life. The "season" runs together as I prepare and plan throughout the year. I trim trees, plant food, fill feeders, hang stands, cut roads and day dream.....a lot. I can't wait until the leaves start changing and the evening start gettign cooler.
When season arrives, I still get butterflies like I did when I was a kid.
The night before opening day is a sleepless one.
The drive to the deer woods is special because I am on my way.
The walk to the stand for the first time with all my senses alive.
The sit until daylight as I get to witness the woods come alive and the sun riseand all of God's glory
The sound of a deer crunching leaves coming toward me.
The opportunity.
Giving thanks.
After the day is over I love sharing stories, helping track and drag, cooking a nice dinner at the camp and doing it all over again the next day.
