I fletched upsix arrows2 weeks ago with 2.25" QS. I have to agree they shrunk my groups at 30 and 40 yds over the same arrow fletched from the factory with 4" vanes. I didn't notice any increase in noise from my perspective. Couldn't tell you from the targets perspective. They are expensive. As far as durablility I can't comment on that as of yet. I did feel they weren't as easy to fletch because of the little kicker, I felt the front of the vane wasn't supported as well by the clamp (on a Bitzenburger).
