1 pin versus 3 pin??
Hey all, I seen Pup's post on the movable sight and I just bought the Collector sight from Impact Archery. But with all of this talk about the one movable pin...I wanna try that!!! I would like to return the Collector and purchase the Cosmic Sight...The only thing i'm worried about is adjustability!! How is the cosmic's adjusting compared to the other sights such as the Cobra and the HHA optimizer light sight. I'd preferrably stick with the Cosmic but i'm open to all oppinions!!! Thanks a bunch!!!

RE: 1 pin versus 3 pin??
hoytusa10 On my old bow I went from 4 pins to one pin set at 20 yards and with practice by holding high or low depending upon distance I was just as accurate and never worried about which pin to shoot, all I worried about was the distance to the deer.
I have a new bow that is far better than my old one and right now I am shooting 3 pins, but once I get it tweaked in I will be going back to one pin which will be a lot better for hunting, target shooting strictly I would keep all the pins.

i use a sight master movable pin sight. love it i had one on my first bow. when i bought my magna tec the bow shop did not carry them so i bought a 4 pin toxtronics sight good sight but i used the wrong pin once. well i just sold my mathews (first bow) and swaped the pin sight for the sight master sight and also bought another one for the new hoyt i am in the process of buying.
the sight master sight has an micro adj. for windage and while at full draw you can adj. ele. with a flick of the finger. i love the sight.
it is made out of machined alu.

well as you know i went with the hha because from what i have heard the pin on the cosmic is so bright it is hard to shoot 3d with. and i have also heard it is not as easy to ajust. i love this hha sight is is plenty bright i think brighter then my last cobra sight. and it is so easy to ajust..

RE: 1 pin versus 3 pin??
Yea pup, I'm looking forward to a sight w/ easy adjustability...but also i want brightness!! i want to be able 2 shoot at dawn and dusk with no worries... thats my most biggest concern. I talked 2 my dad about the adjustable sight and his response was "no, you have no time to adjust like that, NO!!" so wutever kuz i'm still gonna get one. I like the concept and am looking to get into a little bit of 3-D myself. Thanks for the replies and keep em comin!! I want to hear about brightness and adjustablity ease. Thanks guyz!!

well my choice is narrowed down to either the HHA optimizer sight and the Impact Archery's Cosmic sight...Now for your part...which one is better due to adjustability and brightness?? Thanks again!!

jimmya can you explain how the one finger adjustment works. If I remember correctly it is an accessory you can manipulate with your bow hand. Am I close? And exactly how does it work? is it as simple as a slide back and forward to adjust the distance?

Hoytusa, take a good look at what was SME (Scout Mtn. Equipment and is now Vital Bow Gear has to offer. http://www.vitalbowgear.com
I use the SME adjustable and it is sweet. Same weight as the Impact and plenty bright! I use it for 3-D and last year I used it for elk hunting. I use pendulums for deer hunting here in NJ or I'd use it here as well. I am a 1 pin man.
