Default Final hunt, meat in the freezer

Last week I posted about mine and DaveH'ssuccessful hunt without and kill and said we would be going out Monday with hopes of tagging that 20" 6pt. We did go out yesterday and although I was able to put my tag on a 101 lb doe we did not see the 6pt, nor for that matter did we see many deer at all. The groups and yarding have broken up and all we saw was a doe here and a few there. Completely different from last week when we each saw 20-25 deer each. I shot this doe in the morning and had another at 15 yards broadside in the evening but let it go. This doe was bred during the rut, something I hate about late season hunting. We also encountered on the way to the property a deer thrashing in the street (residential street) that had obviously been struck by a car. We put it out ofmisery and moved it to the curb and continued on. Now I would say this deer was pro ably carrying as well so I guess you could say I killed 6 deer yesterday. Wasn't a pleasant beginning and less than present harvest when I found what I found. My last hunt of the year afforded me many memories. Sorry about the blood stains in the pic, I tried to wipe it off as best I could with leaves.
