Default My form

Well I have seen other postson this subject, so I guess I need some expert opinions on my form before my Drenalin gets here. I was shooting today in some strong wind and was still shooting some tight shot groups. So anything you all can give me on my form will be helpful. And can any one guess what my old bow is, the company that made it is out of business, but it sure has killed a lot of deer for me.

DL is too long, bow hand needs to be relaxed, and your bow shoulder is all bunched up.

Like most, your draw length is too long. Perhaps an inch. Your grip, your forcing your hand open and likely causing torque. Notice how straight your arm is? Your elbow is locked. Notice too, if you follow the line up the middle of your body, your leaning back toward your release arm.

I wouldn't worry about your form until your new bow gets here and you have it set up for you.

As far as a quess on the bow goes; Clearwater Archery?

My archery guy that is ordering my new bow is ordering it with a 29 inch draw and he is going to put 1/2 inch string loop on it. IfI relax my hand on the grip will thathelp my shoulder bunching up. I thank everyone for their help. When I get my new bow I will repost with it and the improvements to my form.

Unless he ordered the same draw length as this bow,THEN he may want to change his order.

Well my old bow was a 30 inch with a 1/2 inch string loop. He measured me at a 29 1/2.

So you are going a full inch shorter, that should get you real close.

As noted before your leaning back or pushing your hips, does appear to be leaning but not sure without the feet in the pic.

Youneed to relax thefingers on the bow hand.

AND,the release looks like it is set to long. But the picture is a little hard to tell for sure.

1 more thing to consider, the wrist strap appears to be snug, that can cuase problems and it needs to be loose.

True, I guess that was me making the assumption that he had consulted a pro shop when placing his order and that they had taken his measurments.

My bad.
