Default I discovered a problem with my 82nd Airborne today

How in the HECK am I suppose to pretend there's pins in between the actual ones for gapping purposes when shooting odd yardages like Matt / PA suggested in his 3d thread?

I sight in at 22-27-32-37 and then shoot EVERY yardage in between. I know EXACTLY where my bow hits at 31 yards or 26 yards. And you don't do this by holding one pin high or low and referencing that, you actually aim with the AIR or “Gaps” between the pins staring right at the spot you want to hit and shade the gap in the direction of the yardage. This is much more accurate than trying to decide how high to hold, just pretend that there is a 26 or 30 yd pin in there and shoot with the invisible pin.
This thing shoots so blazing fast that my pins are stacked so tightly together that there's no way I can imagine another couple pins in between the actual ones in my Spot Hogg... []

I think for anything less than 32, I'll just put the top three pins on the "x"...

Yeah, I'm discovering the same thing w/ my Vectrix Plus. Good thing I got those .010 pins, but it's still gonna be tough. I may have to "dumb" her down a little, just to get the gap I need.

This is why I set my 3D bows up for 2 inch pin gaps.... 2 inches of drop per pin works for me [8D]

Go with an HHA single pin and you wont have those problems, haha. Some guys arent comfortable with the single pin but I love it. Think about tryin it. WCL

Just increase the distance the pins are from your eye and you will be able to open the gap, just get a longer sight bar.

Ive not tried the HHA but i jsut bought the Trophy ridge titan GS V-drive, i bet if you stuck that on your bow,I doubt you would have to use much of the actual V-drive part of it.

Yeah I hadn't really considered how much that speed is gonna close down those pin gaps. LOL

Here's what you do:

Work backwards with your longest pin first. If you want it to be 43yards set that one to 43.
Then set your gaps to where you are comfortable seeing through them properly, and simply figure out what those yardages are. LOL
Heck I don't know, I just make this stuff up as I go along anyway.

At 300-308 ish on down they work great........325-350fps could be a problem.
