iBelieve that both the general and the guardian weigh about the same roughly. I had the same problem for awhile but ended up after5 months I can hold it just as long as my last bow. I have the guardian and at first was a little upset about it but then I really understood everything about it and turned out it wasnt the bow it was my form was horrible and the bow made me correct the problem. But all said and done I wouldnt trade that bow for anything not even a million dollars. That bow is priceless to me

The Allegiance is a great bow. I had an 05 and loved that bow. If you want a lighter BowTech check out the Airbornes to as MeanV2 said, they are very nice. All of the other bows suggested are good choices too. I picked up a Drenaline last year and if anything it is too light. Very nice shooter too. If you go with the Ally, you'll be happy.
